Our Mission
Since 2013, Camp Endeavor has been providing low-cost OST (out of school time) and summer programming serving children and families in the Tri-County area, with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STE(A)M) and hands-on, career-based learning. Annually, our community-based programs provide 700+ children from underserved communities with access to entrepreneurship and career-based learning opportunities that focus on social, emotional, and physical growth.
Our pledge to move the community forward.
Keeping with our mission of partnering with those in the community, we have expanded our focus to one of the pillars of our communities, churches. We are now working with several churches that serve as a lighthouse in their areas to provide children with the best care possible.
Our focuses are on STEAM, project based learning, and allowing children to develop in areas that schools and other programs leave out.
Our theme based curriculum is built and developed by current and former teachers, administrators, and educational experts. Our program is designed to allow children to use cultural and everyday life experiences to create projects, learn problem solving strategies, and create opportunities for growth. Looking at problems and opportunities from a community wide perspective, stepping back and seeing the needs, we adapt our program to address the needs of the community. Example: We have built reading programs to push against the summer slide, and created virtual game tournaments during covid where children were allowed to participate in based on attendance and work completion.
Understanding the church is a lighthouse to the community, we leverage our partnerships to create opportunities for the families to love their neighbor, receive care, and access resources, while helping children belong, achieve, and thrive -all while having a blast.
