About Us

Camp Endeavor was founded in 2013 to provide holistic educational experience with a strong focus on STE(A)M learning to North Philadelphia elementary school students.
Today, our nonprofit serves 700+ students at four schools in the Westmoreland area. With low-cost after school programs and affordable summer camp each year, Camp Endeavor provides hands-on learning opportunities that encourage career exploration through reading and nature.

OUR KEY FOCUS AREAS
Endeavor’s key focus areas are:
1) Making aftercare affordable for all,
2) Building strong relationships with local schools,
3) Combating the summer reading slide,
4) Providing STE(A)M and career-based learning opportunities,
5) Increasing family involvement and support of OST, and
6) Improving financial stability in our community with hiring initiatives and entrepreneurship training.
We have developed strong relationships with our partner schools and the families that we serve. We are committed to developing joint programs that help identify and support the needs of our unique communities. Our team members work in our schools to help better understand their culture, attend school interventions to support our students, and collaborate with school personnel. Our team includes social workers who work directly with their school counterparts. We are committed to hiring from our community, including parents and program graduates. With hands-on career and entrepreneurship training, we’re providing a direct investment in building stronger families and communities.
Finally, we strive to better understand and support the dynamics of the families that we serve, playing diverse roles as reinforcers and nurturers, and caring for and supporting families during difficult economic times. We are committed to delivering engaging opportunities for families to increase their own direct involvment in their child's academic success.
