Our Vision
The vision of Camp Endeavor is to support academic achievement and long-term career success through multi-faceted OST programs that teach youth how to be entrepreneurs, creators, and innovators from Kindergarten through 5th grade. By creating strong partnerships with the schools, families, and communities we serve, we can deliver cost effective, safe, and structured learning opportunities.
Our Approach
Camp Endeavor relies on strong partnerships with community and business leaders to provide hands-on career learning experiences. Our full day summer program works with ages 5-12 focusing on different issues in the community. Using local resources and partnerships, we address issues that are across board for the youth. For example, we addressed the dramatic drop in reading levels by starting a citywide "Limitless literacy initiative. Local businesses gave incentives to children to find sight words while they shop. For years, our business community has helped to build libraries to combat the 'Summer Reading Slide,' helping increase reading scores each summer. Our school year before and aftercare program, features homework tutoring, engaging guest sessions and partners, and project based learning experiments to keep children engaged and learning.
Our Story
We are proud of the growth and success of Camp Endeavor, from launching a successful low-cost summer program to serving 700+ students throughout the school year at four sites. We are committed to advocating for excellent OST programs in our city and state, as we continue to expand our OST program to serve more communities throughout Philadelphia.
